Adhir Dayal is a RAW undercover agent who is sent to Pakistan as Indian High Commission Official. However, his main job is to find General Zia's planning against India especially about Pakistan's nuclear program and destroy it.
When he returns to Delhi on Diwali after the success of mission in Pakistan, Adhir and RAW officer Sanjeev Mehra talk to each other.
Mehra says, "Adhir you take leave for a few days , then I need to talk to you on an an important issue."
Adhir says, "If its important, then let's talk about it right now."
Then, Sanjeev Mehra says, "You next mission is person of high interest. He is a volatile character We don't know much about him. But, whatever we do know, it's concerning. We want to collect information on this man as much as we can about this man. For this job, you will be perfect. We will tell you about the man in the times to come. The threat is real and his target is India."
Although the story is a fiction, it is reported that the director has made the series inspired by India's current National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval.
Notably, the makers have deliberately kept the name of Adhir's next mission under wraps. However, since Adhir's character is inspired by India's NSA, let's know what was the major missions he was part of after coming back to India-
During the 1980s, Doval was among the key figures who carried out Operation Black Thunder. As per reports, Ajit Doval infiltrated militant group in Punjab in Amritsar posing as ISI-linked asset and gathered intelligence.
A source in the known development, who was posted in Amritsar during that times and even worked with Ajit Doval informed True Scoop that his intelligence supplied to Indian security agencies became very handy.
Doval supplied actionable intelligence that aided Operation Black Thunder II in 1988.
He also worked in Northeast and played a key role in operations that led to splits among insurgent ranks (e.g., Mizo insurgency resolution elements and broader Northeast counter‑insurgency coordination while in IB operations).
