Since you have landed on this page, True Scoop assumes that you are digging deep into Search Naina Murder Case True Story or Search Naina Murder Case Real Story and who is real life ACP Sanyukta Das? Continue reading below-
The answer is no. The character of ACP Sanyukta Das is totally an original character and is not inspired by any real life Assistant Police Commissioner (ACP). Although there are plethora of woman ACPs in India, still the character of Sanyukta Das is totally original or let's say fictional.
Furthermore, Search: The Naina Murder Case is also not a real story but is an Indian adaptation of Danish crime drama The Killing (Forbrydelsen), which originally aired in 2007.
Konkona Sen Sharma was quoted by News18 saying, "What really drew me to the part was the character itself. It’s based on the Danish show Forbrydelsen, which I had seen, and it was one of the earliest shows with a complex female detective character."
"There have been others since, but this was among the first, and it’s such a beautifully done portrait. I loved the complexity of the role she was dealing with at home in her personal life and in her professional life. I’ve always been drawn to such characters real, layered, strong, yet relatable because of their struggles.
So when I was offered this part, combined with the fact that it came from a show I had really loved, and was now being adapted in an Indian context, I knew I wanted to be part of it."
