One of the most-awaited sequels by Ajay Devgn - Son of Sardaar 2 - was finally released on August 1, 2025, Friday. The recent reviews of the film show that it has been creating a lot of buzz post-release.
Being a multi-starrer film, people are curious to know about the OTT release of the film, after its simultaneous theatrical release. According to the reports and the poster of the comedy drama, the film is supposed to be released on the OTT giant Netflix.
It is worth mentioning that among the first to watch Son of Sardaar 2 was Bollywood actor Suneil Shetty, who enjoyed the film with his son Ahan Shetty and Ajay Devgn in London. He came forward and shared reviews of the film. Praising the film and Ajay Devgn’s performance, Shetty called it a “laugh riot” and outlined that only Ajay can pull off this level of comedy and madness.
In addition to this, he mentioned that the audience witnessed such a laughing-out-loud comedy after a very long time. Suneil Shetty took his official social media platform and wrote, “Of all the places in the world… London is where the madness unfolds! Caught Son of Sardaar 2 with Jassi, Ajay & Ahan. Maannn watttaa a laugh riot!" He further added, “And AJ that takes on me… hilarious. Ahan’s cracking up, I’m cracking up… rare to find a film that has generations howling together! Ajay Devgn will be reprising his role as ‘Jaswinder “Jassi" Singh Randhawa' in Son of Sardaar 2. In this sequel to the film, Jassi will be travelling to Scotland to reconcile with his wife, and it will be a spiritual sequel to the 2011 film. There he is seen getting entangled in a mob conflict and a chaotic wedding.
The sequel is a multi-starrer, as mentioned above, and features stars including Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, Chunky Panday, Vindu Dara Singh, Roshni Walia, and others. It is to be noted that it is Mukul Dev’s posthumous films.
Notably, the film clashed with Tripti Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s ‘Dhadak 2’ at the box office.
