22 trains passing through Jalandhar cancelled from December to March; Check list

Passengers traveling through Punjab will face major disruptions this winter as Indian Railways has announced the cancellation of 56 trains between December 2025 and March 2026 due to dense fog conditions.

It is important to note that out of these, 22 trains passing through Jalandhar City have been suspended, creating significant challenges for commuters and long-distance travelers. Catering to the reduction in visibility and henceforth making train operations unsafe, the railways have issued the notification on prior.

To avoid delays, accidents, and congestion on the routes, several express and intercity trains have been cancelled until the end of February and in some cases, early March.

Here is the list of trains being cancelled-

  1. Gareeb Rath Express (12207/08) which will not operate from 9 December to 24 February

  2. ⁠Janseva Express (14617/18) cancelled from 3 December to 2nd March

  3. ⁠Nangal Dam Express (14505/06) is suspended from 1st December 1 to 28 February.

  4. Amritsar–Ajmer Express (19611/14) from 5th December to 1st March

  5. ⁠Akal Takht Express (12317/18) from 7 December to 24 February

  6. ⁠Durgiana Express (12357/58) from 6 December to 28 February

  7. ⁠Yoga Nagri Jammu Tawi Express (14606/05)

  8. ⁠Lal Kuan–Amritsar Express (14615/16)

  9. ⁠Kolkata–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Express (14503/04) will not operate from 2 December to 28 February

  10. ⁠Amritsar–Chandigarh Express (14541/42) will not arrive at Jalandhar City station between 1 December 28 February.

  11. The Intercity Express (14681/82) is cancelled from 1 December to 1 March.

Railway authorities have urged passengers to check the latest train schedules before booking tickets or planning travel, as winter cancellations are likely to impact thousands of daily commuters and long-distance travelers.
