26-year old Punjab kabaddi player Tejpal Giddarwindi shot dead in Jagraon’s village

A shocking incident has come to light from Jagraon, Punjab. According to reports, a kabaddi player, Tejpal Giddarwindi was shot dead in Jagraon. Around five to six unidentified men carried out the attack, killing him on the spot. The assailants fled immediately after the incident. Upon receiving the information, the police reached the scene.

It is being said that the unidentified men first beat up the kabaddi player and then shot him. What’s even more shocking is that the incident took place just a short distance away from the SSP’s office. Despite this, the attackers managed to commit the crime and escape. The police are currently examining nearby CCTV footage to find clues about the unknown assailants.

According to police sources, the incident is said to be a result of personal rivalry. The attackers are reported to be residents of Rumi village near Jagraon. The police are examining CCTV footage from the area to identify the assailants.

As per the information received so far, the accused first hit the victim’s car to stop it and then got out of their vehicle to carry out the attack.

SSP Ludhiana Rural Dr Ankur Gupta said during the fight between two boys at around 2:50 pm, Tejpal was shot and it affected its vital organ. He was immediately rushed to hospital but was declared dead. He also told that seperate teams have been created and the case will looked upon. Personal rivalry was cited as the cause of tiff between the accusd and victim.
