

A bus carrying 35 passengers narrowly escaped a major accident near Goraya in Jalandhar district after the driver lost control while attempting to avoid a motorcycle. The bus mounted the roadside divider and moved onto the footpath, but all passengers escaped unharmed.
Motorcycle takes wrong turn
According to bus conductor Jasbir Singh, the bus was travelling from Ludhiana to Jalandhar when the incident occurred while entering Goraya. He said a motorcycle suddenly took a wrong turn, creating a potentially dangerous situation on the road.
The conductor explained that the driver tried to save the motorcycle riders and avoid a collision. During the manoeuvre, the driver lost control of the bus, which climbed onto the divider and reached the roadside footpath.
The sudden incident could have resulted in a serious accident, as the bus was carrying several passengers at the time.
All 35 passengers escape unhurt
Jasbir Singh said that 35 passengers were travelling on the bus when the incident took place. Fortunately, none of them sustained injuries, and all passengers remained safe.
