A 4.5-year-old boy named Hargun Singh, who hails from Barnala came forward to support flood-affected families in Punjab. Hargun is a student of LKG at YS School, Handiaya.
The 4.5 year old boy brought his collection box (Gullak) along with his grandfather Sadhu Singh and mother Simran to the office of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Barnala, to contribute his savings towards Punjab flood relief.
Hargun Singh donated the money he had collected to DC T. Benith, who praised the young boy for his compassion and generosity.
Hargun said that the collected amount would help provide assistance to those affected by the floods.
DC T. Benith praised Hargun’s kind act and stated that the Punjab government and administration are committed to providing every possible assistance to flood-hit families.
Sadhu Singh, Hargun’s grandfather, shared that his grandson had been talking for days about helping those affected by the floods and today fulfilled his wish by visiting the DC office with his family.
