Punjabi singer and actor Mankirt Aulakh reached Shahpur Jajan village in Gurdaspur district today to support farmers impacted by the recent floods. During the visit, he personally handed over 10 brand-new tractors to farmers whose agricultural lands were badly damaged in the deluge.
Earlier this week, Aulakh shared a video on his Instagram handle, showing that his flood relief teams are on the ground helping stranded families. In the video, he announced a ₹5 crore donation for Punjab flood relief victims, plans to provide 100 tractors to farmers, and arrange flats with two bedrooms and a kitchen for families who lost their homes.
Speaking to the media today, Aulakh said, “Punjabis never lose hope. Within a month, life in Punjab will return to normal, and our farmers will rise stronger than before.”
This initiative highlights the growing role of Punjabi artists and celebrities in stepping forward to help communities rebuild after Punjab faced one of its worst floods in decades.
