Jalandhar road rage turns violent after car-auto collision
The incident reportedly began when an auto-rickshaw collided with the car at Kapurthala Chowk. Following the collision, an argument broke out between the two sides.
Patron of the Arhtiya Association of Sabzi Mandi, Jalandhar Dimpy Sachdeva, has given his version of the incident at Jalandhar’s Kapurthala Chowk, claiming that the auto driver first hit his car and later misbehaved with his son, leading to the confrontation. Sachdeva said, “The auto driver hit our car, and after the collision, he also misbehaved with my son.” He maintained that the confrontation took place after the initial collision and argument.
Sachdeva says argument escalated after misbehaviour
Sachdeva has alleged that the confrontation was not unprovoked and that the initial collision and subsequent behaviour of the auto driver towards his son led to the escalation.
His version comes as the video circulating on social media has prompted discussion over what happened before the physical fight began. The complete sequence of events before the recording started could not be independently established from the video alone.
Police personnel reportedly present at spot
The incident also took place in the presence of police personnel who were reportedly standing at the chowk. Despite their presence, both sides were seen involved in the altercation before people gathered at the spot.
As the crowd increased, members of the public reportedly intervened and managed to stop the fight.
No complaint filed by either side yet
As of now, neither the auto-rickshaw driver nor the car driver has reportedly approached the police with a formal complaint regarding the incident.
The emergence of the video has brought attention to the confrontation and raised concerns over road-rage incidents, particularly how arguments following minor accidents can quickly escalate into violence.
