In a massive development, Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Khadoor Sahib assembly constituency, Manjinder Singh Lalpura has been arrested. He has been convicted by the court in a 12-year-old case. After this, he will be sentenced on September 12.

According to the information, a case was registered against Manjinder Singh Lalpura, and others under the SC/ST Act after a victim accused him of misbehavior in March 2013.

What is the case against Manjinder Singh Lalpura and others?

As per reports, Manjinder Singh Lalpura and others have been convicted in a case of assault and molestation. While hearing the case on Wednesday, the District Court of Tarn Taran said that all the accused will be sentenced on September 12. The police have arrested all of them and sent them to jail.

This case is of 2013. At that time MLA Lalpura was a taxi driver. He was accused of beating up a girl who had come to attend a wedding. The girl had also accused the taxi drivers of molestation.

MLA Lalpura's advocate said that this is a case of beating up a Dalit girl. The decision is yet to come. We will challenge it in the High Court.
