A protest erupted during the visit of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini to Amritsar. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers showed black flags and raised slogans against the Haryana CM. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers along with some local residents raised their voice against the anti-Punjab policies of central government of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Political activity in Punjab has intensified ahead of Punjab Assembly polls that are scheduled to take place in 2027. The Haryana Chief Minister is on a visit to Punjab in the same regard.
