The Achievers Group officially took charge of the Jullundur Gymkhana Club on Friday following its decisive victory in the 2026 club elections, with the newly elected team pledging to work collectively for the betterment, development and overall progress of the prestigious institution.
The Achievers Group secured all four key office-bearer positions and won eight of the ten Executive Member seats in the elections.
Dheeraj Seth has been elected Junior Vice President, Amit Kukreja has taken charge as Honorary Secretary, Harpreet Singh “Goldy” has been elected Joint Secretary, while Saurabh Khullar has been elected Treasurer. The eight Executive Members elected from the Achievers Group are Shalini Kalra, Nitin Behl, Jubin Shangari, Mohinder Singh, Atul Talwar, Vinnie Sharma Dhawan, M.B. Bali and Rajive Bansal.
Prof. Vipan Jhanji and Shaleen Joshi from the Progressive Group secured the remaining two Executive Member positions.
At the charge-taking event, AAP Jalandhar Central Halka In-charge Nitin Kohli congratulated the newly elected office-bearers, Executive Members and all members of the Jullundur Gymkhana Club. He said the new team comprises like-minded members who share a common commitment towards the welfare and development of the club.
Kohli said the focus of the new management would be on taking the club forward in a constructive and inclusive manner while ensuring that the interests of its members remain at the centre of its functioning. He emphasised that the club has an important place in the social life of Jalandhar and expressed confidence that the newly elected team would work with dedication to further strengthen its facilities, activities and overall environment.
He also assured that, from the government’s side, every possible support would be extended for initiatives aimed at the development and improvement of the club, subject to the applicable rules and procedures.
“The Achievers Group is a team of like-minded members who have come together with the common objective of working for the betterment of the Jullundur Gymkhana Club. Our priority will be to work collectively, listen to the members and contribute towards the growth and development of the club. We will make every possible effort to ensure that the club continues to progress and remains a vibrant institution for its members,” Kohli said.
The Achievers Group was conceptualised by Nitin Kohli around 12 years ago and has remained actively associated with the affairs and activities of the Gymkhana Club since then. The group’s latest electoral victory reflects the confidence placed in its candidates by a significant section of the club membership.
Kohli congratulated all the successful candidates and thanked the members of the club for participating in the democratic electoral process. He also appealed to members across groups to work together in the larger interest of the institution.
He said the election results should now mark the beginning of a new phase of collective work, with the emphasis shifting from electoral contest to the responsibility of serving the club and its members.
