At a time when Indian Railways has been forced to cancel plethora of trains going or passing through Punjab to other states/union territory like Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, air services remains the go to services.
However, now the air services from Adampur Airport has started to face disruption as well. As per reports, all Star Air flights from Jalandhar's Adampur Airport to Ghaziabad (Hindon) have been canceled till September 3.
Passengers are disappointed with the sudden cancellation of flights. Adampur Airport has become a lifeline for the people of Jalandhar and Doaba region to reach Delhi and NCR, but the frequent cancellation of flights has increased the difficulties of the people.
At present, no clear information has been given as to why the flights have been cancelled. Now, passengers have to take flights from Chandigarh or Amritsar.
Demands are now being raised that Star Air resume its services as soon as possible and stabilize the timetable so that they can get relief from the repeated inconvenience.
