The Punjab government’s Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna aims to provide upto ₹10 lakh cashless health insurance cover to all families of Punjab. The scheme is set to be rolled out on January 22 by the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal to ease the healthcare burden of the citizens and ensure quality healthcare for all.

What is the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana?

The Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana is a health scheme that aims to provide health cards completely free of cost which will be delivered to their on their doorsteps. The Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna scheme will benefit the entire population of three crore residents, and more than 550 private hospitals have been empaneled for the scheme so far, and the number will be enhanced to 1000 in the coming days. In simple terms Punjab residents can get medical treatment up to Rs 10 lakh free of cost in both government and private hospitals.

How to enroll in the scheme?

In both rural and urban areas, the government intends to set up camps at specific CSC Center locations that are accessible at the village/ward level. According to sources, the camps will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, seven days a week.

What documents you require to enroll?

In order to get enrolled and avail the benefits of the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, the first and foremost condition is that the beneficiary/member/family must be a resident of Punjab and possess valid identity documents to verify the same.

The documents required to get enrolled are:

1.      Voter ID Card

2.      Aadhaar Card

Note: In case the applicant is a minor then Birth Certificate of member, along with ID Card of head of family and declaration stating relation with the minor member is also required.
