A video showing an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) allegedly taking a bribe has gone viral on social media raising serious questions about the functioning of the police department.
According to the video the ASI who is reportedly posted at Maqboolpura police station is seen accepting money from a man and in the clip the man gives ₹5,000 to the ASI and says he will pay the remaining amount later. The ASI is also heard asking for ₹1,000 more and tells the man to give that amount to a clerk and shortly after the exchange of money both the ASI and the man are seen coming down the stairs.
The entire incident was recorded by a young man who was present there and the video has now spread quickly on social media and is being widely shared.
