
As India is all set to celebrate the festive season, Indian Railways has started its preparation to ensure smooth travelling of passengers. People majorly from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand go back to their hometown from other states they are living for work or any other purposes.
Similarly, with Diwali and Chhath Puja 2025 approaching, tickets in most of the trains have been sold out. Most of the trains bound for Bihar and Jharkhand are showcasing waiting list. In such cases, festival special trains turn out to be boon for them.
Talking about Festival Special Trains, Amritsar-Katihar Festival Special Train have got 2 additional stoppages.
An additional stoppage has been added to Train number 05735 Amritsar-Katihar Festival Special Express Train. The train will now stop at Janakpur Road as well.
Punjab to Bihar Festival Special Trains runs only 1 day a week. As per IRCTC's official website, it runs on Fridays of every week.
It departs from Amritsar Junction at 13:25 aka 1:35 pm in the afternoon and reaches Katihar the next day at around 23:45 aka 11:45 PM in the night.
