The answer is yes. Banks in Punjab and all over India will remain closed on August 9 but because this day marks as Second Saturday.
Notably, as per RBI holiday calendar, cities/states where there will be holiday due to Raksha Bandhan 2025 on August 9- Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Dehradun, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, and Shimla.
Apart from this, Banks in Punjab will be closed on 15th August in order to celebrate the 78th independence year of India.
