In a bizarre development, a man named Paramjit Singh Sandhu open fired at his friend after he went to his house to ask for his money. Rajinder Singh, 63, from Amritsar, went to Paramjit's house and demanded Rs 5 lakh back that he had given to him as a loan. An argument broke out between both the families and it soon escalated when Paramjit fired from his 315-bore rifle.
The incident took place in Gokuwal village of Batala. Wife of Rajinder Singh (victim) was filming the argument that was going on when the victim went to demand his money back. In the video, Rajinder was heard saying shoot if you can.
As per the FIR that has been filed, Rajinder gave Rs 5 lakh to his friend Paramjit in 2003 for personal and household needs.
Rajinder Singh repeatedly asked Paramjit Singh to return the money, but Paramjit allegedly kept delaying and avoiding repayment. Later, relatives of both parties intervened and settled the matter verbally, assuring that Paramjit Singh would soon return the money.
However, even after repeated calls and reminders, Paramjit allegedly stopped responding and refused to return the money.
As a result, Rajinder along with his wife and driver went to Paramjit's house. After Rajinder was shot, his driver took him to a hospital. Paramjit suffered severe fracture and damage in his right leg.
Currently, investigation is underway.
