A wedding celebration clip on the Bathinda–Goniana road has been going viral on social media where youths can be seen dancing and showering currency notes from a moving Jeep onto the white Scorpio SUV carrying the newlyweds.
The 51-second viral video shows both the vehicles moving along the road, including an open modified jeep carrying five to six youths. As the vehicles move along, the youths can be seen dancing inside the jeep and pulling bundles of ₹10 notes from their pockets and tossing them into the air toward the Scorpio behind them.
The notes flutter over the wedding vehicle and onto the road, creating what appears to be a “rain of money,” however, the celebrations also appear to involve clear violations of traffic safety norms and the act poses a risk not only to those on those two vehicles but also to other road users.
The incident has drawn attention online due to the apparent disregard for traffic safety, with passengers dancing in a moving vehicle and the driver filming while driving, the situation could have potentially resulted in a serious accident.
