The Bhagat family has suffered a double tragedy as former Punjab Cabinet Minister Bhagat Chunni Lal and his son-in-law Mohanlal Bhagat passed away on the same day.
Mohanlal Bhagat, a resident of Dilbagh Nagar, Jalandhar, had suffered a brain hemorrhage a few days ago and his condition remained critical following the hemorrhage, and he later slipped into a coma.
He breathed his last today.
Mohanlal Bhagat had retired from the Irrigation Department. His death has left his family, relatives and acquaintances in grief
The news came shortly after the demise of former Punjab Cabinet Minister Bhagat Chunni Lal, who passed away earlier today at the age of 93.
Chunni Lal was the father of Punjab Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat.
With the two deaths occurring on the same day, the family is facing a severe loss, relatives and acquaintances have expressed grief over the deaths of both family members.
The passing of Mohanlal Bhagat has added to the family's grief at a time when relatives were already mourning the death of Bhagat Chunni Lal.
