Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Rajbir Singh Ghumman, has issued a strong public challenge to Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia, asking him to produce evidence to substantiate allegations made against him.

Ghumman said that if Majithia has even a single chat, message, document or other credible evidence showing that he had sought money from anyone, it should be made public.

“If there is even one chat or piece of evidence showing that I asked anyone for money, make it public,” Ghumman said.

He further demanded that the allegations be backed by evidence and said that, in the absence of proof, Majithia should publicly apologise. Ghumman also warned that he was prepared to pursue legal action for defamation.

“Put the evidence before the public. Otherwise, apologise publicly or be prepared to face a defamation case,” he said.

Ghumman alleged that the accusations amounted to an attempt at character assassination and claimed that his critics were unable to respond to the government’s work.

“They cannot answer for the work being done, so they have resorted to false allegations and character assassination,” Ghumman said.

Reiterating his commitment to Punjab, Ghumman said that he would continue working for the state with honesty and dedication.

“We are working honestly for Punjab and will continue to do so,” he said.
