The phase II of monsoon has started across India, and this year, it is expected that several regions across the country will witness heavy rainfall. It is predicted that rain spells will continue to hit several regions of Punjab during the upcoming days.

According to the latest weather prediction by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Chandigarh, a few regions of the state will witness very heavy to heavy rainfall, while a few will witness heavy to moderate rains. However, most of the region might see isolated or little rainfall.

Very Heavy Rainfall - Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, and Rupnagar

Heavy Rainfall - Gurdaspur, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Nawanshahr, SAS Nagar (Mohali), Fatehgarh Sahib, and Patiala.

Notably, the remaining regions of the state will witness little to moderate rainfall. The regions include - Amritsar, Ludhiana, Sangrur, Tarn Taran, Moga, Barnala, Mansa, Faridkot, Bathinda, Muktsar, and Fazilka.

Heavy Rainfall - Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, and SAS Nagar (Mohali)
