The Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has ordered a major administrative reshuffle in the Punjab Police by transferring 19 IPS and PPS officers.
According to the official orders issued by the government, several key positions in the police department have been reshuffled. The transfer list includes a number of senior officers who have now been assigned new responsibilities at different places across the state.
The government has directed all the concerned officers to assume charge of their new postings at the earliest.
The reshuffle is being seen as part of the government’s administrative exercise aimed at strengthening the functioning of the police department and improving governance.
