Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin arrived in the holy city of Amritsar on Saturday as his first visit from the three day outreach to Punjab. He first held an important meeting with BJP leaders and party workers before proceeding to Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) to pay obeisance and seek blessings. He offered prayers for the welfare of all humanity and the prosperity of the nation. During the visit, Nitin Nabin will participate in a series of religious, social, organisational and intellectual engagements across Amritsar, Jalandhar and Ludhiana

Expressing gratitude to Waheguru, Nitin Nabin prayed for peace, harmony, prosperity, and development across the country, particularly in Punjab. Demonstrating the Sikh principle of selfless service, he also participated in the seva of washing used utensils in the Guru’s house, a gesture that was appreciated by devotees present there. Officials of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) honoured him with a traditional siropa (robe of honour). Speaking to the media, Nitin Nabin said that he felt fortunate to have received the opportunity to bow his head at Sri Harmandir Sahib and offer prayers at one of the holiest Sikh shrines. He stated that he prayed for peace, brotherhood, and the well-being of people across the country, while also seeking blessings for Punjab’s happiness and prosperity

The BJP National President said that the history and significance of Sri Harmandir Sahib has given Punjab a unique identity not only in India but across the world. Referring to Maharaja Ranjit Singh, he said that the great ruler had provided Punjab with a distinct legacy and that everyone today wishes to see a prosperous and developed Punjab in line with his vision. He will also visit the historic Jallianwala Bagh, Shri Durgiana Mandir and Sri Ram Tirath Mandir to seek blessings and pay tribute to the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of Punjab.

He further stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is progressing rapidly on the path of development, and he hopes Punjab will also advance at the same pace. He prayed that the benefits of development reach every household, village, and locality in the state.

Nitin Nabin added that his visit to Sri Harmandir Sahib had filled him with renewed energy and inspiration, and that he would continue to work with greater dedication toward public service and the development of Punjab.
