Body of missing Punjabi singer Inder Kaur recovered from Neelo Canal after six days

Punjabi singer Inder Kaur also known as Yashinder Kaur was found dead in Ludhiana after allegedly being abducted at gunpoint six days ago and her body was recovered from the Neelo Canal on Tuesday morning around 11 am and according to information shared by the family the 29-year-old singer had gone missing on May 13.

Her relatives claimed that she was abducted by a man from Moga who had allegedly been forcing her to marry him against her wishes and the family said the accused had known Inder Kaur for around three years after the two connected through Instagram however things reportedly changed after the singer came to know that the man was already married and had children after which she refused to marry him.

The family alleged that the accused could not accept her refusal and developed a grudge against her and they further claimed that he came to Punjab from Canada through Nepal and later fled back abroad after carrying out the crime while police have not yet officially confirmed all of these allegations but an investigation is currently underway.

As per reports Inder Kaur had left her home on the evening of May 13 to buy household items but did not return and her family searched for her continuously and later approached police after they failed to contact her and during the investigation police reportedly found links between singer and the accused who is said to be based in Canada.

Police have currently recovered the body from canal and sent it to Civil Hospital in Samrala for post-mortem examination and officials are now trying to determine exact cause of death and gather more evidence in the case however no official statement has yet been released regarding arrests.

The tragic incident has sparked outrage on social media with many people demanding strict action against the accused and better safety for women and family members have demanded justice and a thorough investigation into the murder.
