Continuous rainfall has worsened the condition of Jalandhar city’s roads. Major roads such as Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Chowk, Football Chowk, Kapurthala Chowk, and Swami Vivekananda Chowk (Workshop Chowk) have become the biggest problem for the citizens due to deep potholes and breakage.
People are facing severe difficulties in their daily work, business, children’s schooling, and even in emergency situations.
Taking this situation seriously, AAP's Jalandhar Central constituency in-charge Nitin Kohli, along with party leaders and Municipal Corporation officials, conducted a detailed inspection of these roads.
Nitin Kohli personally assessed the condition of the potholes on the spot and interacted with local residents. He said that citizens’ problems will not just be heard on paper but will be resolved on the ground.
Nitin Kohli said, "I am a servant of the people, and every problem of the people is my own problem. These roads are the heartbeat of the city. When they are broken, the entire city comes to a standstill. That is why I have given clear instructions to the officials that repair and construction work should start immediately. Delays will not be tolerated.”
“Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann Ji has always said that the convenience of the people of Punjab is the top priority. With the same vision, we want to make Jalandhar a better and modern city. From Ambedkar Chowk to Workshop Chowk and other affected areas, roads will be made strong and durable so that people do not have to face repeated problems. This time it will not just be temporary work, but a permanent solution," added Nitin Kohli.
Nitin Kohli clearly stated, "I do not consider politics as a means of position and prestige, but as a medium of service. The trust of the people is my biggest capital, and I will never let it break. Whether day or night, I will always be present in the field to serve the people. Be it roads, water, sanitation, or any other problem – I stand with the people and will always stand with them.”
He finally said that citizens of Jalandhar will soon see new and improved roads.
“Our goal is that the roads of Jalandhar become the identity of the city, not its problem. In the coming days, people themselves will feel the change and believe that the Aam Aadmi Party government and every one of its workers is working only for the people.”
