In a massive development, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday arrested Ropar DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar. As per information received, Harcharan Singh Bhullar was arrested from Mohali. Before his arrest, CBI had conducted raids.
It is reported that a complaint was lodged against him by a scrap dealer in Mandi Gobindgarh, after which this action has been taken.
It is said that Harcharan Singh Bhullar has been arrested on alleged bribery charges. Harcharan Singh Bhullar is a senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. He is a 2007 batch officer and has held several important positions in the Punjab Police. He currently serves as Deputy Inspector General (DIG).
