In a major boost to connectivity between Punjab and Rajasthan, new train from Chandigarh to Udaipur has been announced. As per reports, the upcoming Chandigarh to Udaipur train will run two days a week. Dainik Bhasker report stated that Udaipur MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat also thanked the Railway Minister.
Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria, who had recently met the Union Railway Minister in Delhi to propose the route, announced that the request was promptly accepted. The train schedule and stops have also been finalized.
As per reports, Chandigarh-Udaipur Train number will be 20989. It will depart from Udaipur at 4:05 PM and arrive in Chandigarh at 9:50 AM the next day. In the return, train number 20990 will depart from Chandigarh at 11:20 AM and reach Udaipur at 5:30 AM the following day.
Talking about Chandigarh-Udaipur Timetable, it will run from Udaipur on Wednesday and Saturday and from Chandigarh on Thursday and Sunday.
