The weather department has already predicted that northern India including Punjab will witness record-breaking winters. Temperatures in Punjab are expected to drop in the coming days. Snowfall is expected in the upper regions of Himachal Pradesh following the activation of a Western Disturbance. If this happens, winds from the mountains will bring a slight drop in temperatures across the state, increasing the cold.
According to the Meteorological Center, Punjab's average temperature is seeing a slight drop for the third consecutive day. The average maximum temperature has dropped by 0.4 degrees and the minimum temperature by 0.1 degrees. However, the weather remains dry.
The answer is from November 20. As per AccuWeather website, temperature in Jalandhar will touch 10°C (nigh-time) on November 20. On November 21, it will be 11°C, from November 22 to 25 it will be 10°C, then the winters will intensify more with night-time temperature touching 9°C from November 26 to 29. Then on November 30, the lowest temperature will touch 8°C.
In Amritsar, temperature will start to touch 10°C even before Jalandhar. AccuWeather suggests that Amritsar will witness 10°C starting from November 10. From November 10 to November 14, the night-time temperature in Amritsar will be 10°C. The coldest night in Amritsar will be on November 30 with night-temperature touching 6°C.
Winters in Ludhiana will be similar to Jalandhar. Meaning, night-time temperature of 10°C will be registered on November 20 in Ludhiana. The coldest night of Ludhiana will be November 30 as it is predicted to be 8°C.
