Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has asked Cabinet Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar to resign following the suicide of Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, the Amritsar District Manager (DM) of the Punjab State Warehouse Corporation. Gagandeep also recorded a video before consuming the poison, which has now gone viral on social media.
Acting swiftly on the matter the Chief Minister asked Bhullar to step down from his post and at the same time he directed the Chief Secretary to carry out a fair and impartial investigation into the matter to find out the truth. CM Mann said there will be zero tolerance for any kind of negligence or misconduct and emphasized that accountability will be ensured no matter how senior the person involved is.
