Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Saturday slammed Congress. During a press conference, CM Mann said that Congress party loses election because of its own actions but blame others for its failure.

CM Mann was reacting to Congress leader and former Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi's allegations. CM Mann called Channi's remarks irresponsible. Channi has claimed that Aam Aadmi Party has printed extra ballot papers.

CM Mann further said that Congress and Akali Dal have already accepted their defeat.

Elections are being held for Block Committees in 2833 zones. Out of these, 340 Aam Aadmi Party candidates, 3 Congress candidates, and 8 independent candidates have won unopposed.

For the Panchayat Samiti elections, 2771 Aam Aadmi Party candidates, 2433 Congress candidates, 1814 Akali Dal candidates, 1127 BJP candidates, 195 BSP candidates, 3 Akali Dal (Amritsar) candidates, and 686 other candidates are contesting, making a total of 9029 candidates.

"The Congress doesn't say anything in Delhi because they get zero seats," said CM Mann. He advised Channi not to wait for a 'five-year turn' saying that people have ended the culture of taking turns in power.

Taking a dig at Rs 500 crore claim, CM Mann further said "Mr. Channi, keep an eye on your auction house. Make sure no one puts in too many slips. Also keep an eye on the Deputy CM's chair."

"I did not go for election campaigning. I was in Japan and Korea. Sukhbir Badal didn't even know about the block committee, and now he's campaigning on a motorcycle. Now he'll even campaign on a donkey; the whole family is involved in election campaigning. This is the beauty of democracy," added CM Mann.

In the block committee: 347 Aam Aadmi Party, 331 Congress, 298 Akali Dal, 215 BJP, 50 BSP, 4 Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar, 143 others.

"The Akali Dal has now become the Akali Dal of sacrilege or the Akali Dal of goons. They are taking votes at gunpoint, giving tickets to the families of gangsters," said CM Mann.

After 4 years, even the hermits have come down from the mountains. CM Mann also targeted former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, questioning why he does not resign from the BJP if he feels unheard in the party.

Congress handed over victories on a platter in Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and several other states to BJP.

He further claimed that the Congress has become a “loss-making deal,” citing Tarn Taran where the party reportedly finished fourth. Mann also alleged that the wives of Congress leaders Raja Warring and Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa lost elections. People have forgotten the Akali Dal like a Nokia phone.

In 2021, Channi solved the problems with a briefcase containing Rs 350.

Questioning Sidhu, CM Mann said, "I have a complaint with Navjot Singh Sidhu. When he became the Urban Development Minister, he could have cleaned up the cities and solved the problems in the electricity departmen." Mann alleged that there was a policy of 'neither playing nor allowing others to play.' He added that he has signed more than 12,500 files so far.

CM Mann further said that Rahul Gandhi and Navjot Sidhu have one common problem. Rahul says, "Make me PM, I will do something for the people." People say, "Show us results first." This is what people are saying about Navjot Sidhu: "We'll make him Chief Minister later, first let him do something for Punjab."

Regarding Navjot Kaur Sidhu's security request, the CM said, "She should have thought before speaking."
