Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday addressed a press conference and issued a stern warning against gangsters. CM Mann was reacting to the murder of a Kabaddi Promoter Rana Balachauria in Mohali on Monday night. Rana Balachauria was shot dead by three men during a Kabaddi match. Two shooters have been identified, and another's identity has been kept under wraps.

CM Mann also reacted to death threats that people of Punjab receive on call from gangsters sitting abroad. Punjab Chief Minister also assured the media that the government will soon share a blueprint that will showcase crime data and even outline from which country gangsters make threatening calls.

Warning the gangsters, CM Mann said, "Do not think that after firing a bullet you will go and sleep safely in your mother’s lap. There will definitely be a response. The people of Punjab are peace-loving, but if anyone disturbs peace, strict action will be taken against them."

CM Mann also stated that the current law & order problems are the result of the seeds sown by the Akali Dal and Congress, and the public is now bearing the brunt of it. He said that gangsters emerged during their time and are now fighting for dominance.

Responding to a question about the murder of a Kabaddi player, CM Mann said that the police are investigating the case. He added that controversy exists in Kabaddi all over the world.
