Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal, while reviewing the progress of enrolment under the Mukhya Mantri Sehat Yojna in the district, directed officials to ensure registration of every family under the scheme so that the health security being provided by the Punjab Government reaches everyone.
Chairing a meeting with officials including Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Jasbir Singh and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) holding additional charge as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Divya P, the Deputy Commissioner instructed SDMs to accelerate the registration process in their respective jurisdictions by creating awareness among people with the support of ASHA workers and NGOs, so that every family in the district can be covered under the scheme.
Dr. Aggarwal informed that apart from 490 CSC centres in the district, special camps are being organized daily through Seva Kendras for making cards under this scheme. He stated that under this scheme, the Punjab Government is providing cashless treatment facility up to Rs 10 lakh per family annually.
He said that for making the card, Aadhaar card (linked with mobile number), voter card, and birth certificate for minor children are mandatory. At least two family members must be present for card issuance.
He directed administrative officers, the Health Department, Common Service Centres, Seva Kendras and other concerned departments to work in better coordination to implement this pro-people scheme effectively.
The Deputy Commissioner also appealed to district residents to get themselves registered without delay through their nearest CSCs and special camps to avail the benefits of the scheme and ensure health security for their families.
Assistant Commissioner (UT) Mukilan R, all SDMs, Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajesh Garg and officials of concerned departments were also present in the meeting.
