A DD transport truck hit a car on the Jalandhar-Pathankot highway. As per the reports, a 3-year-old girl and her 28-year-old mother who were in the car got injured in the accident and the truck driver has fled the scene. As of now, the injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The impact of the collision was so severe that the car was completely wrecked after the incident.
Following the incident, the police were informed about it by locals. After arriving at the scene, the police seized the truck and informed the owner.
Giving details about the incident, ASI Randhir Singh tells that the accident allegedly took place due to foggy conditions at the Raipur turn. The officer further adds that the truck belonging to DD Transport was coming from Dhogri when it rammed into the Venue car. Police confirms that the truck driver has fled the scene after the accident and the injured are currently undergoing treatment at Capital Hospital. As of now a probe is underway and further details are awaited.
