A late-night operation by a team of Delhi Police outside a DMart store in Jalandhar reportedly took an unexpected turn after a wanted suspect allegedly escaped before he could be apprehended. The incident also came into focus after local police reportedly found a liquor bottle and two glasses containing alcohol inside the private vehicle used by the visiting team.

According to information received, the Delhi Police team had reached the location following a tip-off regarding the whereabouts of a suspect wanted in a case registered in Delhi. The team reportedly planned to apprehend the individual during the late-night operation. However, the suspect allegedly managed to flee from the spot, leaving the police team without an arrest.

Jalandhar Police reach the spot after incident

Following information about the operation, a team from Jalandhar Police Station Division No. 6 reportedly reached the location and began looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The involvement of an outside police team in an operation within Jalandhar also brought the matter to the attention of the local police. The circumstances under which the Delhi Police team arrived, the information available about the wanted suspect and the sequence of events leading to his escape are among the aspects requiring clarification.

Another development emerged during the proceedings when local police reportedly searched the private vehicle in which the Delhi Police team had arrived.

During the search, officers allegedly found a bottle of liquor along with two glasses containing alcohol inside the vehicle. The reported recovery has raised additional questions about the circumstances surrounding the late-night operation.

However, the presence of liquor and glasses inside the vehicle does not, by itself, establish whether anyone had consumed alcohol. The ownership of the vehicle, the circumstances of the recovery and any further findings would need to be established through the police investigation.

Investigation and official clarification awaited

The incident has brought three key questions into focus: why the Delhi Police team had arrived in Jalandhar, how the wanted suspect managed to escape and what the investigation reveals about the reported liquor recovery.

Further details regarding the identity of the suspect, the FIR registered in Delhi, the personnel involved and the findings of Jalandhar Police are awaited.

An official version from both Delhi Police and Jalandhar Police would be necessary to establish the complete sequence of events and clarify the circumstances surrounding the operation.
