

A fraud case has been reported from Pathankot, where the family of well-known bone doctor Dr. Jaspal Singh Bhinder has accused two of his former helpers of cheating them of a large amount of money and valuables.
According to the family’s complaint, the accused persons were working as helpers at Dr. Bhinder’s residence and had gained the trust of the family over time and the family alleged that the helpers misused this trust and took advantage of their access to the house and bank-related matters.
The family has alleged that money was withdrawn from bank accounts using ATM cards and other means, apart from this, they have also accused the helpers of taking cash and around 60 pairs of gold jewellery from the house before allegedly going missing.
The family has claimed that the total loss in the matter is around ₹4.5 crore, while police officials have stated that the value of cash and valuables involved is more than ₹1 crore.
SHO Pathankot Dhillon said that the case is related to alleged fraud and said the accused were working as helpers at the doctor’s house and allegedly misused the trust placed in them by the family.
The family approached the police after discovering the alleged fraud and following the complaint, a case has been registered against the accused persons. Police are now investigating the matter and are examining CCTV footage and other technical evidence to trace the accused and verify the allegations.
Officials said further action will be taken after completion of the investigation.
