A firing incident broke out at the famous Eastwood Village situated on Jalandhar-Phagwara Highway on Tuesday night. A man named Sandeep, resident of Phagwara, sustained a bullet injury in his leg and was rushed to a private hospital in Rama Mandi, where he is undergoing treatment. His condition is said to be stable.

Sandeep is said to be working at Eastwood Village as a bouncer. Sandeep's father Satpal while talking to the media said, "My son works as a bouncer in Eastwood to ensure people’s safety. Today, some dispute broke out there, and he was shot during the incident. He was badly beaten as well, after which he was taken to Johal Hospital. He has been admitted there and is scheduled to undergo surgery. We are extremely worried.

He has sustained bullet injuries in his head and shoulders. My son has been working in Eastwood for the past four to five years. I have no idea why the shooting happened or what caused it."

At that time, the Bouncer's father also alleged that they he is yet to listen from the Eastwood Management and nobody has contacted regarding the incident.

As per information received, a youth, identified as Sukha from Talhan village, had allegedly opened fire and fled the scene immediately after the incident.

On receiving information, police teams reached the site and began investigations. A bullet shell was recovered from the scene, and CCTV footage from the area is being examined to ascertain the sequence of events and identify those involved.

Police officials said further action would be taken once the inquiry establishes the role of the individuals present during the incident.
