Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday strongly criticised the BJP after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today conducted another raid at the residence of Punjab Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora. According to reports, ED officials arrived at the minister’s residence early in the morning with multiple vehicles and carried out search operations at the premises.

Reacting to the ED action, Mann said this was the third raid at Sanjeev Arora’s residence within a year and the second within just one month. He claimed that despite repeated searches, the agency had failed to recover anything significant.

The Punjab CM accused the BJP of using central agencies to politically target opposition leaders in Punjab. He said Punjab is the land of Gurus and martyrs and cannot be forced to bow before political pressure.

Referring to Mughal ruler Aurangzeb and freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, Mann said Punjab never surrendered before powerful rulers or the British and would not bow before the BJP either.

Mann further alleged that there was an “unethical alliance” between the BJP and the ED and claimed Punjab would ultimately put an end to such politics.
