The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has announced an emergency shutdown on the 11 KV Nehru Garden Road Feeder for approximately 30 minutes, resulting in a temporary disruption of electricity supply in several parts of the city.
According to the official information, the shutdown has been undertaken to carry out urgent emergency work on the feeder. PSPCL has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to consumers.
The areas affected by the temporary power outage include Central Town, Shastri Market, Nehru Garden Road, Gobindgarh, Ladowali Road, Mandi Fentonganj, Prem Nagar, Sharma Market, Krishan Nagar, Old Jawahar Nagar and Ramesh Colony.
Residents and commercial establishments in these localities are advised to plan accordingly until normal electricity supply is restored. PSPCL is expected to resume power supply once the emergency maintenance work is completed.
