Former Jalandhar West MLA and BJP leader Sheetal Angural's nephew Vikas was stabbed to death on Friday night. Vikas who was said to be 16-17-years-old was stabbed in chest three times by a man named Kaalu. The murder took place in Shivaji Nagar of Basti Danishmandan area, Jalandhar.
Sheetal Angural alleged that that his nephew was killed by Kaalu who was 'overdosed' at that time. Kaalu and two others who were with him were intoxicated as well. The BJP leader also revealed that his nephew was screaming for help but no-one came to rescue him.
Angural said, "A boy named Kalu went to a rally with a few others. The rally concluded around 5:30 to 6:30 pm. After that, he drank alcohol with his associates, overdosed on drugs, lost control and they went on to murder Vikas."
Angural further alleged that Kalu had earlier also attacked the police in Basti Bawa Khel. The BJP leader said that he has given the police a free hand so that he can know what the motive behind his nephew's murder.
"He was screaming for help, shouting ‘save me, save me’, but no one came to his rescue," said Sheetal Angural.
ADCP-2 Paramjit Singh has stated that in murder case of Vikas, FIR No. 183 has been registered at Police Station Division No. 5 under Sections 103(1), 351(3) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The Police are currently in search of all the three youths who are involved in the case.
