Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday visited flood-hit areas of Punjab and announced Rs 1600 crore relief package for the state. PM Modi's visit to Punjab turned ugly when opposition parties including AAP that is the ruling party in the state slammed him for low package.

Aam Aadmi Party had emphasized that PM Modi should announce at least Rs 20,000 crore for Punjab. In the meantime, Union Home Minister Amit Shah's video is going viral with the claims that before PM Modi he visited Punjab.

In reality, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has not visited flood-hit areas of Punjab till now.

Amit Shah had visited Jammu to oversee the flood havoc in the region,. The Union Home Minister had visited Jammu on September 1.

In fact, Union Minister Amit Shah had also shared a series of photos from his Jammu visit on his X handle. The photos that seem to be of same place as shown in the video.

Relief and rescue operations are being carried out in full swing by disaster response forces, along with providing assistance in medical care to the affected people.
