Jalandhar is facing growing security concerns following a firing incident reported outside Dr. Vardaan Hospital in the Mota Singh Nagar area.

According to police officials, unidentified bike-borne assailants wearing helmets fired approximately 2–3 rounds outside the hospital around 10 PM before fleeing the scene.

Senior police officers promptly reached the location after receiving information and secured the area. A preliminary investigation has been launched to determine the identity of the attackers.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Investigation) Manpreet Singh stated that the firing occurred outside Dr. Vardaan Hospital. He added that the doctor had not received any extortion calls or threats prior to the incident. CCTV footage from the hospital and nearby areas is being examined, and authorities are confident that the case will be resolved soon.

This incident marks the second firing report in Jalandhar within the last 24 hours. Earlier, nearly 10 bullets were reportedly fired outside a house in the Santokhpura area. Police are continuing investigations into both cases.

Officials have assured that strict action will be taken against those involved in the incidents.
