Fog causes deadly car-bus collision in Hoshiarpur, four lives lost

A heart-wrecking accident has taken place on Hoshiarpur-Dasuha Road this morning. The collision that involved a bus and a car has claimed four lives, while another person is said to be severely injured. The deceased have been identified as residents of Chalet village, located in the Una district of Himachal Pradesh. As per reports they were travelling to Amritsar Airport in a car that was completely wrecked in the accident. The deceased have been identified as Sukhwinder Singh (45), son of Harnam Singh, Sushil Kumar (46), son of Desraj, Brij Kumar (38), son of Mahendra Kumar, Arun Kumar (45), son of Gurpal Singh who were residents of Chalet village, Himachal Pradesh. All these four people died immediately on the spot due to the impact of the collision, while Amit Kumar, son of Surinder, sustained injuries and was taken to Civil Hospital, Hoshiarpur for further assistance.

Talking about the incident to the media, Amit Kumar says that he had left his village in a hurry to leave for Amritsar airport. He adds that when they reached near Dusarka, their car collided with a roadways bus that was travelling from Dasuha to Hoshiarpur. He says four of his relatives have lost their lives in the accident. He was scheduled to board a flight from Amritsar airport today, for which the others had accompanied him to drop him off. The reason of the accident is said to be heavy fog that had blanketed the region.
