Four passengers travelling in a taxi were injured after the vehicle collided with a parked vehicle along the National Highway in Goraya, Jalandhar, on Thursday evening. The impact was so severe that both vehicles suffered damage.

According to information, taxi driver Ranjit Singh was travelling from Patiala to Beas with four passengers when the accident occurred near Goraya. A speeding vehicle coming from the opposite direction allegedly sideswiped the taxi.

While attempting to avoid the other vehicle, Ranjit Singh turned the steering wheel towards the opposite side. During the manoeuvre, the taxi's tyre reportedly got damaged, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The car then rammed into an auto-rickshaw parked along the roadside.

All four passengers travelling in the taxi sustained injuries. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. With the help of local residents, the injured were rushed to a hospital for treatment.
