Punjab Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian and Punjab Mandi Board Chairman S. Harchand Singh Barsat handed over appointment letters to eight candidates on compassionate grounds in Punjab Mandi Board at the Board’s headquarters in SAS Nagar.

The appointments, made under Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government’s policy to provide jobs to dependents of deceased employees, extending helping hand in a minimal possible time, said S. Khudian.

“Our government is providing government jobs to youth purely on merit, without any recommendation and over 65000 government jobs have already been given to the youth,” S. Khudian stated, while congratulating the newly appointed employees and encouraged them to perform their duties with full diligence, honesty and a spirit of dedication.

The step would provide substantial support to affected families. These young candidates will now contribute to the progress of Punjab and the Mandi Board, he added. Punjab Mandi Board’s senior officials were also present on the occasion.
