Punjab IPS officer Jyoti Yadav, wife of Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, has been transferred from her current posting as SSP Bathinda.
As per an order issued by the Punjab Department of Home Affairs on Tuesday, Yadav has been posted as Commandant, 82nd Battalion PAP, Chandigarh.

Varun Sharma, IPS: SSP Patiala → SSP SAS Nagar, vice Harmandeep Singh Hans, IPS.
Harman Deep Singh Hans, IPS: SSP SAS Nagar → SSP Patiala, vice Varun Sharma, IPS.
Suhail Qasim Mir, IPS: AIG Personnel-1, CPO Punjab → SSP Bathinda, vice Jyoti Yadav, IPS.
Jyoti Yadav, IPS: SSP Bathinda → Commandant, 82nd Battalion PAP, Chandigarh, vice Balwinder Singh, PPS.

The transfer has been ordered on administrative grounds with immediate effect, and the officers concerned have been directed to join their new places of posting immediately.
