A young man was shot dead in a violent incident reportedly linked to an old rivalry in the Baghapurana area of Moga district. Police have identified the accused and launched a search operation to arrest him.Giving information, DSP Baghapurana Jaswinder Singh Khehra said that the youth who fired the shot has been identified as Amandeep Singh. While the person injured was Jaskaran Singh alias Gugu, a resident of village Cheeda.
The DSP stated that Amandeep Singh already has a criminal case registered against him under the NDPS Act. Police records indicate that tensions between Amandeep and Jaskaran had existed for some time, and investigators are examining whether the old dispute directly led to the fatal shooting
Following the incident, police teams immediately reached the spot and began collecting evidence. The crime scene was thoroughly examined, and statements of eyewitnesses and local residents are being recorded to establish the sequence of events. The body of the victim was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem examination as part of the legal proceedings.
