Traffic violators are all set to face major actions as Jalandhar E-Challan or Jalandhar Online Challan is all set to be start.
As per reports, starting September 29, 2025, a new system for issuing traffic challans will be implemented in Jalandhar, with cameras enabling immediate action against drivers who violate traffic rules.
Reports further suggest that the administration also installed stop lines on major city roads last night. The purpose of these stop lines is to ensure that no vehicle is allowed to park beyond these lines in violation of traffic rules.
If a vehicle is found parked beyond the stop line or violating any traffic rule, the cameras will immediately record the vehicle and issue a challan.
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav will inaugurate Jalandhar E-challan system on September 29, 2025 i.e. on Monday. Under this new system, if drivers fail to wear helmets, don't wear seat belts, drive at high speeds, drive on the wrong side of the road, or jump red lights, all these violations will be recorded by cameras and immediately transmitted to the control room.
The corresponding challan will then be automatically issued using the vehicle's license plate.
