Many areas of Jalandhar on Saturday, December 20 are set to witness a long electricity cut. The Electricity Department has announced power outage in multiple areas of the city for maintenance work.
Jalandhar Electricity Cut Today is already in effect as electricity is cut in PPR Mall. As per information received, power supply in Urban Estate Phase-2 and adjoining areas will remain suspended from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on December 20.
From 10 am to 2 pm, electricity will remain affected in the following areas-
Garden Colony (11 KV), Keshav Nagar, Jalandhar Heights 1 & 2, Model Town, Cheema Nagar, PPR Mall, Curo Mall, Royal Residency, Ramneek Nagar, Mota Singh Nagar, Gurmeet Nagar, Eco Homes, Gol Market, Janata Cold Store vicinity, Variam Nagar, Johal Market, 66-Foot Road, Mithapur and nearby localities.
The department has also urged the residents to cooperate and stated that the shutdown is essential for necessary maintenance work.
Hence, people are advised to make prior arrangement of water, chage your phone, and other essential things that are necessary.
