Jalandhar, July 18: Several parts of Jalandhar will witness a scheduled 3.5-hour power outage on Sunday, July 19, due to general maintenance and a shutdown at the 66 KV Babrik Chowk Substation.
According to the power department, electricity supply will remain suspended from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. During this period, the 11 KV Ghah Mandi, 11 KV Industrial Raja Garden, and all other connected feeders will remain shut.
The areas likely to be affected include Janak Nagar, Ujala Nagar, Bada Bazaar, Gulabian Mohalla, Chopra Colony, Hargobind Nagar, Sat Kartar Enclave, Baldev Nagar, Industrial Raja Garden, Basti Danishmanda, Basti Gujjan, Shivaji Nagar, Grover Colony, Manjit Nagar, and Dilbag Nagar.
The power department has advised residents, shopkeepers, and industrial units in the affected areas to plan their activities accordingly and make necessary arrangements in advance. The maintenance work is being carried out to improve the reliability and efficiency of the power supply.
